Avitaxonomicon is a private website that intends to put together up-to-date scientific information on the systematics of birds. The project started in 2016, driven by my fascination for birds (and science).

This project follows the Avilist checklist v2025 to ensure nomenclatural stability and global compatibility. It also incorporates an evolutionary perspective by using divergence times to inform clade delimitation.
