Passerine families

Representing at least 60% of all extant bird species, the megadiverse order Passeriformes is treated here on a page of its own. The alphabetical list below provides links to the classification of 157 families. Note, however, that in the AviList checklist v2025 there are just 144 passerine families. It will take some time to adjust my classification to the AviList checklist.
